German Grand Prix

Back to back Grands Prix ! Germany and the Hungary before the summer break. Quite a bit of action off track since the British GP.

Mark Webber wasn't really happy with the preference given to Sebastian Vettel over the front wing at the British GP. "Not bad for a number 2" he said after the race over the pit radio. But it probably didn't end there. Apparently Red Bull Motorsport advisor Helmut Marko isn't too happy with Webber over that. Things may have cooled down now during the two weeks.

On the other hand the press tried in and out to try and get some sense of friction between Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button.

Sakon Yamamoto replaces Karun Chandhok for the German Grand Prix and maybe a few more. Chandhok may get a few more races later this year. Bruno Senna gets his race seat back.

Michael Schumacher will be racing in front of his home crowd as a Mercedes driver for the first time. Well pretty much all the German drivers will be racing for a new team in front of their home crowd. Schumacher last raced for Ferrari, Nico Rosberg for Williams, Timo Glock for Toyota, Nico Hulkenberg will debut. Vettel and Adrian Sutil race for the same team as last year.

McLaren will be trying out their exhaust blown diffuser again this friday. After friday practice at the British GP they decided that the upgrades wasn’t really ready and took it off for Saturday and the race. Now with two weeks of time since most likely they should race the new diffuser for the race

Torro Rosso confirm the same driver line up for 2011. Jamie Alguersuari and Sebastien Buemi will continue as their race drivers

Rumours of Jacques Villenueve trying for the 13th team bid are around. (I think there was some confirmation about that, but i'm not sure)
